- FLASHFlux provides quantification of surface radiative fluxes which are
important for understanding the impact of changes to the Earth's surface and the atmospheric state on surface radiative
fluxes. This constitutes an important step in the understanding of weather and climate processes. Timely analysis of
these fluxes also helps to characterize their spatial and temporal variability on regional and global scales.

This web-site supports the ongoing Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy
Systems (CERES) project, a high priority scientific satellite mission
currently taking measurements from space aboard the Terra, Aqua and
Suomi/NPP satellites. The CERES project is advancing our understanding of
the Earth's atmosphere, allowing us to meet the challenges of future
environmental changes, and to improve the quality of life on our home planet.
