Brush Creek State Forest - 2/22/16

Coffee Hollow Road at Brush Creek State Forest is temporarily closed to vehicular traffic approximately 1 mile in from the forest entrance. A road slip is making the pavement unsafe for vehicle passage. Foot and bridle traffic are still permitted along the closed portion of the roadway. The Division is working diligently on determining the extent of the problem as well as potential solutions for fixing the roadway.

Hocking State Forest - 3/15/16

We are currently working on improvements to the Hocking State Forest Horse Camp. One to three sites may be closed during working hours but the camp will remain open throughout the construction process. The well pump is functioning for water for horses and will remain on until winter weather returns. ODNR Hocking State Forest staff will be completing most of the site improvements, which will include site realignments to accommodate larger rigs, new gravel on the road and sites, 2 new restrooms, new concrete manure bins, signage, and information kiosks. All improvements are planned to be completed by December 31, 2016.
