Register today for the GEO Huntsville Conference ... and join with others in the Southeast to explore the opportunities for small- and medium-sized business in geospatial intelligence, commercial earth observation systems, GIS, and much more. Registration is only $195 ($75 for students) for this two-day conference.The GEO Huntsville Conference is the focal point of an economic development and jobs initiative sponsored by Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle to promote geospatial technology growth and development in Huntsville, Alabama and the Tennessee Valley.
Energy Huntsville and Cyber Huntsville are the other initiatives sponsored by the City and the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce. The objective is to support workforce growth and bring awareness to professional expertise that exists in North Alabama.

This page has Unauthorized Dumps and Scrap Tire Sites from ADEM. You can click on any of the sites or districts and get a pop-up box with information pertaining to each location. The House and Senate ones have a place to click to take you to there web page.

This page has a variety of water data. Take a look and explore. You can click on any water feature or HUC and get a pop-up box.

*Inaugural* Alabama Geographic Information Advisory Committee Meeting

The meeting was held at 1:00 PM (CST) at the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center on April 24, 2012. The meeting was well attended with great discussion and excellent presentations. Alabama Aerial Imagery and LiDAR Status Viewer

This viewer gives the user the ability to check the status of current aerial imagery and LiDAR, as well as future acquisitions, simultaneously. The purpose of this viewer is to promote information sharing and to encourage the formation of collaborative efforts.

Please let us know if you have an area of interest for future projects. We are looking to promote municipal and county projects of any size. No project is too small. If you have a project to add, please click here.

Governor Bentley Signs Executive Order 16

On May 31, 2011 Governor Bentley signed Executive Order 16 to reestablish the Alabama GIS Executive Council, the Alabama Geographic Information Advisory Committee and create the Alabama Geographic Information Program Office. Read the Executive Order as amended in September 2011.
