    New Jersey Courts

    Union Vicinage: Due to flooding in the Albender Building located at 1143 East Jersey Street, Elizabeth, the Civil Division Arbitration and Mediation Unit has moved to the main courthouse at 2 Broad Street. Those appearing for all hearings, including foreclosure mediation, are asked to report to the 1st floor Rotunda, Room 107. For all inquiries, please call 908-659-3270 or fax 908-659-3273.

    In addition, all Probation Division Child Support Enforcement Hearings heard on Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be heard in the main courthouse at 2 Broad Street, Room 202 in the Rotunda. For all inquiries please call 877-655-4371. The dates of the hearings are as follows: November 1, 2, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30

    The Supreme Court seeks comments on proposed new Court Rule 2:9-14 regarding Supreme Court review of pretrial detention orders under Criminal Justice Reform. Click here to read the notice and the proposed new rule. Comments are due by November 28.

    Criminal Justice Reform Rule Amendments: The Supreme Court by order dated August 30, 2016 has adopted a package Criminal Justice Reform-related rule amendments – amending various Part III and Part VII Rules – to be effective January 1, 2017.
