A Message from the Mayor...
It is my pleasure, on behalf of the citizens of Olive Hill, to welcome you to our community. If you have never been to Olive Hill, now is the time for you to visit and discover why Olive Hill truly is such a nice place to call home!
Olive Hill is unique for many reasons, but I am convinced that our strong point is the people who live and work to make our community what it is today. A positive “can do” attitude prevails among our volunteers, citizens and business owners, and believe me when I tell you that this is the means for the ongoing progress and visioning for our city’s future. I certainly look forward to continue working with the many volunteers, citizens, churches, schools, community groups and organizations in meeting the overall mission, goals and values for our city. I know you will see and feel their impact when you visit us.
Our small town friendliness complements our mission in providing a variety of activities and various types of entertainment for everyone. The Olive Hill Historical Society has produced a fine facility that helps to provide for the cultural needs of our residents and visitors by offering musicals, dinner theatres, small town events and meetings. The city park is well lighted and offers a walking track, outdoor swimming pool, safe playground equipment and a selection of choices for physical fitness advocates.
These are just a few of Olive Hill’s many attractions and we hope you will take a little time to explore all aspects of our community. If there is anything I can do to help you become better acquainted with our fine city, its residents and business owners, please do not hesitate to call upon me at any time.
Kenny Fankell, Mayor
