"Zero File" Test Results Data for the 2016 General Election
Press agencies that wish to download up-to-the-minute data in its raw format for use in press feeds will be able to download an XML file from an FTP or HTTP site. The file will be updated every time new results data is available.
This is the information format that will be used to report election results beginning at 8pm MST on election day. Press agencies are expected to have data mapping and extensive data handling skills in order to utilize this data. Two links will appear below when data is available.
Depending on your web browser, you may need to "save target as..." or something similar with the below links. You may not be able to just click on it and open the file directly. Files are available via FTP or HTTP. You may use an automated process to download these files from either of the two locations listed below. You will need to provide your own mechanism for automating the download. If you do automate the download, please do not download these files more often than once every two minutes.
