Up next: ACES: A Community on Ecosystem Services
December 5-9, 2016 held in Jacksonville, FL

ACES logo

ACES: A Community on Ecosystem Services represents a dynamic and growing assembly of professionals, researchers, and policy-makers involved with ecosystem services. The ACES 2016 Conference brings together this community in partnership with Ecosystem Markets and the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP), providing an open forum to share experiences, methods, and tools for assessing and incorporating ecosystem services into public and private decisions.

The focus of the conference is to link science, practice, and sustainable decision-making by bringing together the ecosystem services community from around the United States and the globe. ACES 2016 will bring together leaders in government, NGOs, academia, Native American tribes, and the private sector to advance the use of ecosystem services science and practice in conservation, restoration, resource management, and development decisions.

We hope you will make plans to join more than 500 ecosystem service stakeholders in this collaborative discussion to advance use of an ecosystem services framework for natural resource management and policy. Learn more about ACES 2016.

This database comprises data from all ACME researchers, now sited in one central data set (presently, 61 parameters and 281 sites) to promote its use by interested stakeholders.

Welcome to the South Florida Information Access (SOFIA) Website. South Florida is one of several study areas within USGS Priority Ecosystems Science (PES; formerly "Place-Based Studies"). PES was established to enable the USGS to enhance its scientific assistance to resource managers who require an improved scientific information base to resolve or prevent complex resource conflicts or environmental problems in specific ecosystem sites.

For an overview of the website, either search the site for specific words or topics, or visit the "About SOFIA" page. Access information on projects by title, investigator, or by region. The data exchange site contains data related to all of the projects. The publications database that contains Open File Reports, Fact Sheets, and other publications for our projects.
