Surface-Water Flow Through the Tamiami Trail within the Greater Everglades
The project will continue flow measurements, water level data collection, rating refinement and calibration of the discharge ratings at the three culvert and bridge stations and the 4 gated structures to produce continuous records of water levels and flow through the Tamiami Trail into the Big Cypress Preserve and the Everglades National Park. Provisional discharge measurements and data record will continue to be analyzed, processed and forwarded to the USACE and ENP for evaluation of the effects of structure operations on flows into the Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve. Final quality assured water-level and flow to be published in the publication Water-Data Report 2012 and available on NWISWeb. Two stations include instrumentation for telemetry of the real-time data to NWISWeb for real-time public release, and one station will be updated to real-time telemetry pending approval.
