Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Results

STAR Has Been Replaced by CAASPP

The Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) program ended on July 1, 2013. The STAR program was replaced by the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) System. STAR test results and CAASPP results cannot be reliably compared because CAASPP evaluates new standards that emphasize analytical thinking, problem solving and communications skills. But easy-to-understand STAR summary reports are available at the State-level, District-level, and School-level on the Ed-Data Web site. The news release from 2013 and research files are also available.
