November 29, 2002 Press Release: BLM Announces Availability of Trans-Alaska Pipeline System Right-of-Way Renewal Final Environmental Impact Statement (20 KB) August 1, 2002 Press Release - Comment Period on Trans-Alaska Pipeline Right-of-Way EIS Remains 45-days (92 KB) July 22, 2002 A Guide to Discussions of Subsistence is now available. The aim of this guide is to direct readers of the draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) to sections that address subsistence. July 5, 2002 The public comment period for the DEIS is open. Please use the Public Comment Form on this web site to submit comments. The public will have 45 days to review and comment on the DEIS. For more information, see Getting Involved. July 3, 2002 Two new features have been added to the TAPS Renewal EIS Web Site. The DEIS Guide provides brief descriptions of the major sections of the DEIS. The DEIS Summary Presentation provides a brief summary of the contents and major findings of the DEIS. The Newsletter features EIS news, events, and announcements of interest to the public. In this issue: Renewing a Pipeline Right of Way Draft Copies Available Joint Federal/State Public Hearing Dates, Locations ADNR Explains Public Process Preparing your Comments June 10, 2002 The next public comment period will begin with the release of the Draft EIS July 5, 2002. The public will have 45 days to review and comment on the Draft EIS. For more information, see Getting Involved. June 3, 2002 The Comprehensive Monitoring Program Report Examining Grant & Lease Compliance is now available for browsing/downloading in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. May 13, 2002 Public hearings for submittal of comments on the TAPS Renewal EIS Draft EIS will be held in seven Alaskan communities from July 26 - August 9, 2002. Formal public hearings will be held in the following communities: Cordova, Valdez, Copper Center, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Minto, and Barrow. Public hearing locations and dates have been posted on this web site, under Public Meeting Schedule/Locations. February 20, 2002 JPO and BLM e-mail and Internet web site services have been restored following a temporary outage. December 18, 2001 JPO and BLM e-mail is temporarily unavailable. September 14, 2001 Public Meetings in Barrow and Fairbanks Rescheduled The public meetings in Barrow and Fairbanks have been rescheduled. Please see Public Meeting Schedule and Locations for details. The site search tool is located in the upper right-hand corner of every web page on the site. The site index is available from a link on the menu at the bottom of every page. These tools will help you locate information of interest on the site quickly and conveniently.
