Event:CANVASSING

Description:Last day for canvassing election results by proper canvassing board (county canvassing board or board of canvassers).
(10 ILCS 5/18A-15(a), 22-1)

EXCEPTION: State Board of Elections as canvassing board

The Election Authority shall submit their canvass through the eCanvass system in the electronic format prescribed by the State Board of Elections.

The county clerk shall forward the abstract of votes to the SBE via overnight mail or as a PDF document through email.
(10 ILCS 5/22-5)

NOTE: If there is a board of election commissioners within a county, the county abstracts shall include the statement of returns from such board of election commissioners (5/22-9).

Description:Last day for appropriate canvassing board to canvass the results of referenda submitted to the voters at the November 8, 2016 General Election.

Description:Last day for the county clerk to conduct a lottery for a tie vote for a county office.

Event:VOTE BY MAIL STATISTICS
Event Date(s):11/29/2016

Description:Last day the election authority shall transmit to the State Board of Elections the following: (1) the number, by precinct, of vote by mail ballots requested, provided and counted, (2) the number of rejected vote by mail ballots, (3) the number of voters seeking review of rejected vote by mail ballots, and (4) the number of vote by mail ballots counted following review.
