Overview
Morro Bay State Park features lagoon and natural bay habitat. The park has opportunities for sailing, fishing, camping, hiking, and bird watching. The park museum has exhibits on natural features and cultural history, Native American life, geology, and oceanography.

Camping
Family Campground. Fully accessible campsites (including all furnishings) and restrooms with showers are now available along with accessible paths connectiing these facilities.
Group Campground. At least one accessible space and an accessible restroom with shower is available.

Campfire Center The campfire center is accessible.

Picnic Area
Entrance Picnic Area. Accessible tables,restroom, parking, drinking fountain, and payphone are available.
Accessible picnic sites are also located adjacent to the campfire center.

Trails
The Museum Paved Loop Trai is accessible for 0.15 mile. Trailhead and accessible parking are at museum lot. An accessible unisex restroom is at the Natural History Museum, but the route from the parking lot requires crossing a park roadway.

The Marina Peninsula Trail is a 0.7 mile loop trail and boardwalk that departs from the marina campground area.

Exhibits/Programs
The Morro Bay Museum is accessible, with interactive accessible exhibits. Accessible parking and restrooms are available.

Definitions & Terms
Accessible
Meets all or most of the current accessibility standards; most visitors with disabilities will not need assistance.
Generally accessible
Meets many current codes and has few barriers, but some visitors with disabilities may need assistance.
Usable
Meets some current codes but has some barriers; many visitors with disabilities may require assistance.
Designated accessible
Describes facilities that have been set aside and usually signed or “designated” accessible because they met accessibility codes when built. Such facilities may vary from newer suggested guidelines in specified ways, and improvements may be planned or ongoing. Minor variations from guidelines are not usually described. This term is often used for parking spaces that are reserved for visitors with disabilities even though there may be minor issues with slope, signage, or size.
