Congratulations to all of the 2015 Federal Career Award winners at this year's wonderful event, held at Martin's West on May 4, 2015. Almost 1000 attendees met to celebrate, recognize and honor nearly 300 of the best public servants in the State of Maryland and the Federal Government!

If You Missed our 33rd Annual Federal Women's Council Program Last Week, You Missed an Outstanding Event!

 

On Tuesday, March 31, 2015, the Baltimore Federal Executive Board/Federal Women’s Council hosted its 33rd Annual Employee Training Development and Awards Program at The Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies (MITAGS) in Linthicum, Maryland.

 

The event included two dynamic keynote speakers, Ms. Carolyn W. Colvin, Acting Commissioner for Social Security Administration and Dr. Michelle Gourdine, CEO Gourdine Associates.

 

Special guests who brought greetings included The Honorable Donna Edwards, and representatives from Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger’s and Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Jr.’s offices, and Commander Patrick Dozier, Chair of the Federal Executive Board.

 

The program featured workshops from outstanding presenters and presentations of awards to the Outstanding Woman of the Year and the Outstanding Organization of the Year. Workshops included were, Financial Planning for Women, How Do I Look on Paper, 8 Habits of Highly Successful Women, Grammar and Clear Writing, and Developing Dynamic Women in Leadership.

The event was well received and many went home excited and thanking the Federal Women’s Council members for putting on such a rewarding program and expressing anticipation for next year’s program. Some even expressed an interest in joining the Council.
