Stay in your seat

In addition to keeping occupants from flying around the vehicle or through the windshield, seat belts perform another important function. If you're the driver, your seat belt will help you to stay in your seat where you have a better chance of maintaining or regaining control of your vehicle.

Rollovers are dangerous incidents that have a higher fatality rate than other types of crashes. The chance you will sustain a fatal injury in a rollover is many times higher if you are ejected, and that's where seat belts can make a difference.
