NOFA & Application Materials

Below are the NOFA and Application materials for the Section 811 Project Rental Assistance Demonstration Program. Note: Round II materials are below Round I under a separate heading.


Round I: Accepting Applications

Applications will be accepted beginning September 2, 2014 on an over-the-counter basis until all available Round I funds have been awarded. Information on how to submit applications is included in the NOFA.

The maximum file size allowed by our email service is 10 MB.  If you are having trouble sending an email with attachment (i.e. application) or receive a message telling you the file size is too large,  please contact the California Housing Finance Agency Information Technology Help Desk at 916.326.8888 or ITHelp@CalHFA.ca.gov for instructions on an alternative process for sending larger files.


Round II: Los Angeles County - Accepting Applications Beginning March 16, 2016

Applications will be accepted beginning March 16, 2016 on an over-the-counter basis. This version of the Section 811 program will be available for Los Angeles County homeless persons, as well as, those institutionalized in long-term care facilities, and persons with developmental disabilities or mental illness who are at risk of institutionalization and need affordable housing and services to remain in the community.
