Digital Imagery 1993 through 2012 1 & 2-meter

RECTIFIED DIGITAL IMAGERY

The U.S. Farm Service Agency developed color digital imagery based on July -August aerial photography for all counties in Nebraska. These images have 1-meter and 2-meter resolution and were vertically rectified using existing Digital Elevation Models (DEM) and horizontally rectified with Airborne GPS or existing DOQQs, developed through a joint effort between USGS and DNR, as a control source. For additional information, contact U.S. Farm Service Agency at 402-437-5581. The Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (DNR) as part of its Data Bank activities, has compressed the rectified digital imagery obtained from FSA using a JPEG format.Since JPEG is a "lossy" image compression format, a compressed digital image will have slightly less color separation or clarity than a digital image that wasn't compressed. For additional information, contact the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (DNR) at 402-471-3964.The FTP site for quarter quadrangles has directories in latitude/longitude. NOTE: Due to projectiong the UTM FSA Imagery to State Plane, the State Plane imagery are not exactly 1-meter resolution.

All Imagery is either

  • State Plane Feet - NAD83 - FIPS Zone 2600 or
  • UTM Meters - NAD83 - Zone 13, 14 & 15 Projection
