Native American history Month: November
On August 3, 1990 President of the United States George H. W. Bush declared the month of November as National American Indian Heritage Month, thereafter commonly referred to as Native American Heritage Month.

Women’s History Month: March
In 1987, at the request of the National Women's History Project, Congress expanded the week to a month, and the U.S. Congress has issued a resolution every year since then, with wide support, for Women's History Month. The U.S. President has issued each year a proclamation of Women's History Month

African American history Month: February
In 1975, President Ford issued a Message on the Observance of African American History Week urging all Americans to "recognize the important contribution made to our nation's life and culture by African American citizens." A year later this commemoration of African American history in the United States was expanded by ASALH to African American History Month, also known as Black History Month, and President Ford issued the first Message on the Observance of African American History Month that year. In subsequent years, Presidents Carter and Reagan continued to issue Messages honoring African American History Month.

Conflict Resolution Month Initiative in October - Watch the Video
On Oct. 16, NASA will join agencies and organizations across the globe in observing Conflict Resolution Day. The Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity is partnering with the Offices of Human Capital, Ombuds, Safety and Mission Assurance, to highlight the many techniques available to resolve and manage conflict.
