The Employer Contribution is Now Available for the 2017 Plan Year

The Dependent Care Advantage Account (DCAAccount) Employer Contribution will be available for the 2017 plan year. Executive Branch state agency employees who are M/C or represented by CSEA, PEF, UUP, Council 82, DC-37, GSEU, NYSCOPBA, or are employed by the Legislature are eligible for the DCAAccount Employer Contribution. Employees of Roswell Park Cancer Institute, ERDA, and EFC are also eligible for the Employer Contribution. To take advantage of the Employer Contribution, for the 2017 plan year, employees must enroll in the DCAAccount by the close of open enrollment. 2017 Changes in Status and New Employees

The 2017 open enrollment period ended on November 7, 2016. New state employees hired on or after October 3, 2016 who were unable to enroll by the November 7 deadline because they had not been assigned a NYS EMPLID may enroll for the 2017 plan year by submitting a Change in Status application within 60 days of their hire date. Current employees who experience a valid change in status on or after November 8, 2016 or during the 2017 plan year may be eligible to enroll by submitting a Change in Status application within 60 days of their qualifying event. Review the 2017 Change in Status information to determine if your situation qualifies you to enroll during the plan year. Change in Status requests will be accepted until November 5, 2017.

New Mailing Address

To better serve FSA participants, FBWW has implemented several changes to streamline claims processing, direct deposits, enrollment processing, and other functions. As a result, FBWW established a new mailing address for participants to submit claims, direct deposits, and any other communications. The new address is:

Updated reimbursement request forms containing the new mailing address can be downloaded here. If you send your claim forms to the original Tallahassee, Florida address, they will be forwarded to the new address, thereby delaying the processing of your claims.

Reimbursement checks, direct deposit notifications, and other correspondence will now be mailed to you from FBWW’s Tempe, Arizona office.
