Caregiver Advocacy Network (CAN)
If you are a CAREGIVER for foster children or youth, this web site is for YOU!
CAN provides State leadership to help California counties:
- Improve the quality of care foster child and youth receive in foster and kinship care
- Enhance the recruitment and retention of foster families to increase the number of quality foster families willing to foster or adopt
- Build statewide linkages with support services, training, and education for foster families
- Enhance communications between caregiver and agency staff
- Increase placement stability
- Shorten the length of time to permanency for children and youth in out-of-home care
