Events

Residence Tours:

  • Guided tours are available every Thursday (except holidays) from 1:00 – 3:30 PM. throughout the calendar year.
  • There is no charge for admission.
  • An appointment is requested only for groups of 10 or more.
  • To make an appointment for groups of 10 or more please call: 402-471-3466.
  • Volunteer Docent’s from the Community Women’s Club are available to give tours as visitors arrive.
  • Tours last approximately 40 minutes.
  • Visitors may enter at the Pedestrian Gate on the north side of the Residence.

Visitors will be asked to leave any purses, bags & backpacks at the Security Office when touring.

Holiday Decorating & Schedule:

  • Due to decorating for the Holidays, The Governor’s Residence will be closed for Public Tours on Thursday, December 1, 2016.
  • The Residence will be decorated for the Holidays beginning Thursday, December 8, 2016.
  • There will be a Public Open house of the Residence following the Capitol tree lighting ceremony on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 3:00 PM. The Governor & First Lady will be greeting guests as they arrive.
  • There will be no Public tours offered December 22, 2016 through February 9, 2017. Public tours will resume on Thursday, February 16, 2017.

Governor’s Residence Art Exhibition Program

The Governor’s Residence Art Exhibition Program in conjunction with the Nebraska Arts Council is pleased to announce the 2016 – 2019 listing of featured Nebraska artists. These artists’ works will be featured in the lower level of the Governor’s Residence.
