Mississippi Wing Cadet Honor Society
Purpose
The purpose of the Mississippi Wing Cadet Honor Society is to assist cadets in gaining academic recognition and credit for educational and scholarship purposes, and to encourage cadets to excel in the academic side of cadet promotions. It is a great way to recognize cadets for excellence in academics.
Qualification
The qualification for the Mississippi Wing Cadet Honor Society shall be as follows:
· Score a 90% or above per achievement or milestone, which will be the average of both aerospace and leadership tests for Achievement 2 through 16. Achievement 1 and milestone tests will stand by themselves.
· Maintain this average over a consecutive three-achievement/milestone span, with no time frame.
· Scores will be calculated based on the first passing score of the test. Second attempt scores will not be considered.
· The cadet will be a member in good standing.
Procedure for Induction
· Download and print the MSWG Cadet Honor Society Induction Form.
· Fill it out and have the Squadron Commander or Deputy Commanders for Cadets sign it. Please note that illegible applications will not be processed.

Tomorrow we stand united as we recognize Veterans Day here in the U.S., and Remembrance Day by our allies in the Commonwealth. It is a time to remember and to give thanks to those who have served, and continue to serve, in our armed forces.
As I embark upon my final six months in service as your Commander, I remain eternally grateful to you for your continued selfless service, professionalism and dedication to Civil Air Patrol and to our Nation.

Second Annual Mississippi Wing Cadet Conference a Resounding Success

On the weekend of January 17-19th, over 40 Mississippi Wing cadets from eleven squadrons, met for Mississippi Wing’s second annual Cadet Conference. This group also included cadets from both the Tennessee and Georgia Wings, Cadets attended a range of classes that included flight line marshaling, communications, and urban direction finding. For many cadets these classes were required training towards their flight line marshalling and mission radio operator ratings.
