The purpose of the Board is to promote public safety, health, and general welfare of the people statewide through establishing and promoting education programs and by requiring persons to demonstrate their competency as plumbers and/or gas fitters before performing,  supervising, or contracting plumbing or gas fitting.

Rule Change Reminder: Effective October 1, 2016, ALL companies will be required to complete an annual registration with the Board between October 1 and December 31, in compliance with Ala. Admin. Code r. 720-x-17-.01. Annual registrations will be available online beginning October 1. Instructions will be made available at that time.
