ADECA’s Energy Division was recently commended by the U.S. Department of Energy for its ability to set up and administer energy programs funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  The division has initiated several programs designed to encourage Americans to spend money and conserve energy.   

 “Alabama is leading the way in the efforts of the U.S. State Energy Program,” said LeAnn Oliver of the U.S. Department of Energy in a letter to the division. “Together we are making a tremendous down payment on a new clean-energy economy.”
