Education

Through traveling classroom presentations, workshops and guided tours of the Arkansas State Capitol, the Secretary of State’s Education department teaches the young and young-at-heart about Arkansas history, the importance of voting and how elections are conducted throughout the state.

Our Education team hosts programs such as the semiannual Young Voters Workshop, various teacher in-service workshops and student-focused classroom presentations catered to students of all ages.  The Education department staff will travel to most any location in Arkansas!

The department also provides guided tours of the interior of the Arkansas State Capitol building. Lasting approximately 45 minutes, a professional and friendly tour guide will take you to several historic points of interest throughout the building. Guests can expect to visit the Governor’s Reception Room, the Old Supreme Court, the Senate and House galleries, as well as the bronze doors custom made by Tiffany & Co. in 1910.

The Education Department looks forward to serving you and helping you in your quest for knowledge.
