Steps for Secretary of State's Site Fix

Some technologies being used in the newly designed Secretary of State web site could be blocked by a browser if the security settings are high. If your page looks like the screen shot below, you are encountering this problem. There are two resolutions to this.

Resolution one is to lower the security settings on your browser. The steps to follow to accomplish this are below. If you do not wish to lower the security settings on your browser you may choose to go with resolution two, where you will make this site a trusted site for you browser.

Resolution 1

Step 1

In the menu for Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options

Select the Security Tab

Turn down the security to any other level below High
Security Level at High

Security Level at Medium

Click OK

Resolution 2

Step 1

In the menu for Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options

Select the icon for Trusted Sites

Click the Sites button located just below the icons

Deselect the check box that says "require server verification (https://) for all sites in this zone"
