On January 26, 2012, the Governor announced that a settlement agreement had been reached with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and he also announced that four of Virginia’s five training centers would be scheduled to close by 2020. Southside Virginia Training Center (SVTC) is scheduled for closure by June of 2014 and individuals are being transitioned into new homes they have chosen in the community.

However, because of the pending closure of SVTC, this website will no longer be maintained.
