VIRGIN ISLANDS MINIMUM WAGE INCREASES TO $8.35 PER HOUR
Labor Commissioner Catherine A. Hendry, Esq., wishes to advise all Virgin Islands employers and the general public that effective June 21, 2016 the minimum wage in the U.S. Virgin Islands will increase to $8.35 per hour for all employees with the exception of tourist service and restaurant employees. .
 
DOL ANNOUNCES MAXIMUM WAGE AMOUNT
Commissioner of Labor Catherine Hendry, Esq., would like to announce that the Maximum Weekly Benefit Amount (MWBA) in the Virgin Islands for benefit year beginning January 3, 2016 is $480.00 and the Taxable Wage Base for employer contributions is $23,000.00.
