Overview Overview

The California Mapping Coordinating Committee (CMCC) is a chartered organization focused on developing and solving issues centered around the use and application of GIS and Geospatial technologies in California State Government. The CMCC is organized around the concept of developing workgroups of subject matter experts, to address statewide geospatial issues facing the State. The primary goal of the CMCC is to develop statewide standard practices and policies for the use and application of GIS\Geospatial technology in the State of California. The development of the standards and policies will ultimately become a statewide reference for organizations to adhere to when developing GIS\Geospatial competencies, and will ensure they are in alignment with the GIS strategy for the State of California, as defined by the State Geographic Information Officer.

To subscribe to the CMCC list serve, which shares correspondence and discusses issues, visit the CMCC E-mail List Subscription Page.

The meetings are typically held on the second Thursday of each month at from 9:00 to 10:30.
