Avionics Branch
 NE-A4 Launch Services Avionics Branch

Avionics Branch

The Avionics Branch provides discipline engineering in all vehicle Avionics systems (e.g., Flight Controls, Guidance Navigation & Controls, Flight 1553 Buss, Rate Gyros, Hydraulics Controls, Thrust Vector Controls, Fuel Level Sensing, Engine Control Interfaces). The branch is responsible for maintaining cognizance of vehicle production history, contractors’ fleet status and any issues that may affect vehicles assigned to NASA missions. The branch works with the site resident offices to accomplish hardware readiness reviews. When, necessary, this branch assigns a project engineer to manage technical, cost and schedule requirements, and implementation by the launch service provider for NASA funded launch vehicle upgrades.
The Avionics Branch is a matrixed engineering resource under the NASA Avionics Division NE. Visit the Launch Services Avionics Branch on the KSC Engineering Directorate Website: NE-A4 Homepage
