The Mission Analysis
Branch provided launch vehicle insight and as well as approval of mission
unique analysis in a variety of disciplines including performance and
trajectory; coupled loads; guidance, navigation and controls; and
environments, thermodynamics and stress.
Responsibilities also included verification and checkout of flight
software and mission analyses of select launch services contractor
analyses. The branch supported
the entire mission development cycle via the mission integration process
and contributeed to the development of requirements, mission trade studies
and statusing management. The
branch also performed analyses for feasibility studies required to support
advanced missions. In order
to keep pace with emerging technology, the branch pursued enhancements
in mission analysis capabilities and tools.
