The Governor negotiated a new Chesapeake Bay Agreement with the leaders of Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, West Virginia, and Washington, DC
Thanks to Governor McAuliffe’s leadership, this new agreement set aggressive goals for sustainable fisheries, vital habitats, water quality, toxic contaminants, healthy watersheds, stewardship, land conservation, public access, environmental literacy, and the resiliency of the Bay ecosystem in the face of changing climatic conditions and rising sea levels.
