Join the Kentucky Arts Council for the third annual Creative Industry Summit Wednesday, Nov. 30,
at the Lexington Convention Center in Lexington, Ky.
The summit will feature morning plenary presentations and afternoon workshops on a broad array of
topics for those who work in or support the creative industry at the state and local level.
Featured at the Summit will be an introduction to and status report on Kentucky’s fast-growing video
game development industry, as well as an afternoon panel session with game development entrepreneurs
working in the field.
This year’s summit will offer direct training opportunities to individuals working in the creative
industry through two afternoon learning tracks – one for visual artists and another for performing
artists. A third learning track will be offered for those interested in community arts topics.
The afternoon will feature workshops and presentations on:
- Developing your brand.
- Increasing your social media skills.
- Marketing and selling your work online.
- Protecting yourself and your work through legal means.
- Getting tax questions answered for your small business.
- Planning culturally relevant community events.
- Starting and executing a successful public art project.
- Discovering a network of trained cultural documentation specialists who can help you with your project.
