Judicial Building

Alabama's Unified Judicial System is one of the oldest in the nation. Our Justices, Judges and staff share the sentiments of former United States Chief Justice Earl Warren when he stated that, "The success of any legal system is measured by its fidelity to the universal ideal of justice." Simply stated, our mission is to be the most successful judicial system in the nation.

    Alabama's Judicial System Information Services

MONTGOMERY, AL - The Supreme Court of Alabama launched a website for Alabama's Unified Judicial System. The website is located at http://judicial.alabama.gov. It has a fresh new look and provides a number of updated information resources.

The website makes information more easily accessible through the use of a "Quick Links" section which make it easy to explore the most commonly used sections of the website.

Each of the appellate courts, along with the State Law Library and the Administrative Office of Courts, have separate sections which contain information regarding their areas of operation within the State's Judicial System. The appellate courts' section contains biographical information about each of the appellate court justices and judges, along with contact and other information about the appellate courts. The site also contains important information about the court's alternative dispute resolution and mediation program.

With the launch of the site, the Unified Judicial System has consolidated several of its previous websites, including http://www.judicial.state.al.us and http://www.alacourt.gov, the website for the state's trial courts.

The website reflects the first of two significant developments in the court system's information technology efforts. The Supreme Court also launched a major revision to the appellate court's online service that is available to attorneys for filing electronic documents.

ACIS Online provides attorneys with access to court documents, case tracking services, and other online information services never before available to appellate court practitioners. The new service offers a number of innovative services not typically offered by appellate courts in other states. The service is located at https://acis.alabama.gov.
