Mail Transportation Equipment Ordering System

How to request MTE  How to request MTE

Requesting MTE from a Postal Plant?

Mailers can request MTE from their local Postal Plant by logging into MTEOR through the Business Customer Gateway. Detailed step-by-step instructions can be found in the Request Guides.

Local Mailers can also create standing requests in MTEOR. Review the updated Request Manual to get more information on this new functionality.

Note: You MUST print the request details page for your request in MTEOR to pick up your requested MTE from the Postal Plant.

MTEOR does not impact existing transportation agreements. If you already have plant load agreements with your local P&DC, you may still request your MTE be delivered from Postal Plants through MTEOR

Ordering MTE from an MTESC?

For MTESC Mailers, please see Order Guides for ordering instructions. MTESC Mailers are encouraged to order MTE directly from an MTESC, but can also request MTE from a Postal Plant if they are willing to pick up the MTE themselves and the MTESC cannot fulfill their demand.

Mailers can find out how to return damaged or unwanted MTE by contacting the MTEOR Help Desk at 1-866-330-3404 or mteor@usps.gov.
