Sen. Glazer Urges Congress to Direct Department of Defense to Back Down on Bonus Clawbacks

It was unfair that the federal government was clawing back bonuses it had mistakenly given to California’s Army National Guard members who took them in good faith. So I am glad to see the Department of Defense is now suspending their efforts requiring soldiers and their families to repay the bonuses, which would have been a terrible burden on those who have devoted their lives to protecting our country.

It was my privilege to present a commendation to the management team of Planned Parenthood Nor Cal and their parent organization on the occasion of their 100th anniversary. The Legislative resolution, co-authored by Senators Loni Hancock and Lois Wolk and Assembly members Catharine Baker, Susan Bonilla, Bill Dodd, and Tony Thurmond, congratulates them for their wide-ranging healthcare services.

Sacramento, CA – Gov. Jerry Brown on Wednesday signed Senate Bill 412, Sen. Steve Glazer’s California Promise, a landmark bill that will pave a new pathway for more California State University students to graduate in four years.
