Salinity Processes in the Upper Ocean Regional Study 2 (SPURS-2)

SPURS-2, the second of the SPURS field campaigns will be taking place in a fresh and rainy area of the eastern Tropical Pacific (see figure). The sampling will commence in summer of 2016 and last about one year. See the recent article in Oceanography magazine which discusses the plans.

SPURS-1 took place in the subtropical North Atlantic in 2012-2013.
