Transition to HealthCare.gov
Important changes have been made in the way Kentuckians will apply for and enroll in a Qualified Health Plan (QHP) for 2017. Open enrollment starts Nov. 1. If you are eligible for a QHP you will apply online at HealthCare.gov or by calling the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace, 24 hours a day, seven days a week at (800) 318-2596. Applications must be completed on HealthCare.gov for 2017 even if you already had an application with kynect. Beginning Nov. 1, the kynect customer service center also will be open six days a week to answer questions. You also can get help from an insurance agent or application assister (also called kynectors) in your community.
