Growing a small business in Kansas?
Are you growing a small business in Kansas? If so, how’s your business growing?
Each year we work with thousands of businesses across the state. And each year for the past several, we’ve recognized the small businesses that we’ve worked with at our annual awards ceremony in Topeka. In the past, we have chosen sixteen businesses – one existing organization and one emerging venture from each of our eight regions – to honor at the event. This year we’ve added one more category to our recognition – exporting.
Jon Roberts, President of Custom Storefronts, Inc. (pictured above) is our first Exporting Business of the Year. Custom Storefronts is an Olathe, Kansas business that provides storefront designs, fixtures, and components for national and international retailers. His story is a great example of how Kansas organizations work together to connect small businesses with the right resources.
Custom Storefronts wasn’t the only exporter we worked with in 2015. In fact, we worked with quite a few of our clients to expand both their global and domestic sales. You’ll soon have an opportunity to learn more about them as we post information on our winners over the next few weeks.
