Civil

Civil cases involve claims by one party or individual against another for wrongs committed or damages done.

Criminal

The Criminal Department files, processes, and maintains criminal records of misdemeanor and felony filings for Lassen County.

Family Court Services

The Family Law Division hears matters involving family-related issues and domestic relations. Family Court Services (FCS) offers mediation and evaluations for child custody and visitation.

Juvenile

Juvenile cases involve juvenile dependency and juvenile delinquency.

Traffic

Traffic Court handles cases that usually begin when a citation or ticket is written by a law enforcement officer. Tickets can be issued for violations of traffic laws and other non-traffic offenses.

Public parking is located in the front of the Hall of Justice, at 2610 Riverside Dr

Security

It is illegal to bring weaponry into the courthouse. Law enforcement officers will scan your person with metal detectors as you enter the courthouse. Any metal objects on your body must be removed and inspected, including belt buckles, steel–toed shoes, all phone and chargers.
