Eastern North Atlantic and Mobile Facility Operations

The Field Instrument Deployments and Operations (FIDO) office, based at Los Alamos National Laboratory, provides services for remote field campaigns and instrument deployments. Primarily in support of the DOE Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Climate Research Facility's Mobile Facilities 1 and 2 (AMF) and the Eastern North Atlantic (ENA) facility, FIDO has expanded its capabilities and portfolio to include assistance for Los Alamos National Laboratory science initiatives, private sector consultancy, management of approved ARM field campaigns, and provision of off-site field campaign instrument platforms.

The FIDO team has project, operational, and logistics management capability. Its members have extensive experience in deployments of fixed-term campaigns as well as operations of permanent facilities, both domestic and foreign. FIDO leverages and coordinates opportunities for deployment of synergistic instrumentation, including prospects for private sector and inter-laboratory participation in existing and/or future field campaigns.
