My research interests focus on several areas: (1) identification of behavioral chemicals for management of forest insect pests; (2) development of new pheromone release systems for area-wide control of bark and ambrosia beetles; (3) development of semiochemicals to monitor and control invasive insects; (4) identification of potential invasives for early detection; (5) assessment of effect of silvicultural methods, including thinning, herbicides, and fire, on forest soil arthropods.
