The NASA Earth Science Technology Office (ESTO) is in the process of updating its investment strategy in the area of microwave technologies. The last ESTO microwave strategy was documented in 2004 and is available here (https://esto.nasa.gov/files/MWGReport2004.pdf). This strategy update (more than a decade after the previous one) is intended to update the state of the art in microwave technologies and capture new and emerging required technology capabilities to enable NASA's Earth science measurement goals.

As part of this process, ESTO invited the community to submit input electronically for consideration (through May 6, 2016). ESTO also convened a virtual community forum on March 17, 2016. View the briefing charts from this event here.
