Records Storage
The Archives offers two secure records storage options to state and local governments, political subdivisions, and school districts. Records storage is offered at no cost to the agency.
Records officers may transfer records to the State Records Center in Clearfield, UT. This type of transfer leaves the ownership of the records in the hands of the agency. Retention schedules would then dictate the final disposition of records—destroy or transfer to the State Archives for permanent preservation.</p> <p>Records officers may transfer permanent records directly to the State Archives in Salt Lake City, UT.
