Geoffrey W. Hoffa, DHSc, PA-C, is an NCCPA-certified physician assistant and graduate of A.T. Still University (ATSU), Arizona School of Health Sciences (ASHS), earning a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2000, and a Doctor of Health Sciences degree with a concentration in leadership and organizational behavior in 2014. He serves on the ASHS Alumni Chapter Board of Directors, and is an adjunct faculty member in the PA program with the rank of Assistant Professor. Moving to Arizona in 1997 after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Michigan State University, he worked at the University Medical Center in Tucson as a Patient Care Technician prior to PA school. Dr. Hoffa has served the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants since 2009, and has been Chairman since 2012.

PA Hoffa has practiced gastroenterology and hepatology as both an employee and an independent contractor. He has past experience in solid-organ transplant surgery at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Arizona, working over five years in the multi-disciplinary service, which included transplant hepatology, transplant nephrology, hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery, and abdominal transplant surgery. While at Mayo Clinic Arizona, he achieved the academic title of Instructor of Medicine. He was the first physician assistant to be allowed associate membership into the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS), where he served as the PA liaison for the legislative committee. Dr. Hoffa is a Fellow of the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants (ASAPA), and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (DFAAPA). He has served ASAPA on the committee on bylaws, as chairman of the public relations committee, and as an elected delegate to the AAPA House of Delegates.

Active in both the clinical and policy aspects of health care, Dr. Hoffa is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), and principal of Geoffrey W. Hoffa, PLLC, providing consulting services in relation to health and welfare fund business development, policy, and research-based strategies in the challenging era of health care reform.
