Army Human Research Protections Office

The mission of the Army Human Research Protections Office (AHRPO) is to provide leadership in the protection of the rights, welfare, and wellbeing of subjects involved in research conducted or supported by the U.S. Army.

AHRPO develops Army-level policy, negotiates new and oversees existing DoD Assurances, provides clarification and guidance, develops educational programs and materials, maintains regulatory oversight, and provides advice on ethical and regulatory issues in biomedical, behavioral, and social research.
