The GETA Group is an expanding circle of wildland firefighters; fire managers, hotshots, helitack, smokejumpers, and engine crew members interested in experiential learning, incident management, and geospatial technologies. We explore and apply emerging user-friendly technologies to enhance incident management capabilities. We focus our efforts on training and simulations, remote networking and communication, mobile devices and applications, and visualization tools, especially Google Earth. We have also created a 'Data Dump', which is a catch-all for posting our works in progress and sharing files. Feel free to poke around and see if any of the unpolished products strike your fancy.
