GC - Genomic Core Mission: To simplify genomic data analysis and presentation for biomedical scientists using up-to-date IT tools. Projects: We combine an expertise in genomics/molecular biology with bio-IT knowledge to perform multiple types of cancer-related projects, including, but not limited to, allelic variation and mutation search, cancer susceptibility/resistance region mapping and candidate gene searches, protein expression construct design, etc. The project usually starts with the search, extraction and analysis of existing data from multiple biological databases. After the strategy is developed, primers and PCR reactions are designed together with cloning procedures, if so required. The next step is usually sequencing followed by sequence analysis. Final results and conclusions are exported in a form suitable for presentations and publications. |
