"NOTICE UNDER THE ADAAA" ---> In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008, the Office of the Attorney General will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.
"NOTIFICATION ADAAA" ---> Among other areas affecting the life of individuals with disabilities, this law provides protection against discriminatory act by employers on the matter of hiring, firing, promoting, demoting, providing, reasonable accomodations, and other employment related-actions against such individuals.
"COMPLAINTS RELATIVE ADAAA" ---> This Policy applies to individuals who may have been or believe that they may have been
discriminated in violation of the ADAAA. The procedure described in this policy also
applies to allegations of discrimination as reported by other than the affected individual.
"FACILITIES COMPLIANCE INSPECTION" ---> This policy applies to all facilities that are covered under Title II and Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008. This includes all existing buildings, (1) premises, and/or facilities used or occupied by the Government of Guam to deliver services, (2) facilities that serve the general public and, (3) facilities owned or operated by private entities and/or nonprofit organizations. The program does not apply to buildings that will be or are being constructed, nor does the program include reviewing architectural plans for accessibility, as these functions are the purview of the Guam Department of Public Works. This policy does not intend to cover the entire gamut of the scope of the ADAAA inspection.
