WHY LabSTAR?

Small businesses working to bring advanced energy technologies and services to market now have the national laboratory system in their corner. Through the Department of Energy’s Small Business Voucher pilot, small businesses working on clean energy and clean technology can access world-leading researchers, facilities, and expertise of the national laboratories.

WHO IS LabSTAR?

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories/CA have joined forces to form LabSTAR, an ecosystem of San Francisco Bay-area national laboratory assets. Clean tech businesses with fewer than 500 employees can submit requests for vouchers of up to $300,000 that can be used on basic science, prototyping, analysis, using supercomputers, accessing accelerators, and other projects to help speed their success in commercializing technologies.
