Computer and App Classes Now Available for the Fall

Computer and App Class ScheduleODL’s Office of Library Development offers a computer lab to provide hands-on computer programs, apps and technology training for public and institution librarians. Training is conducted on computers, iPads and MS Surface Pro tablets!

Students may be eligible to get CEUs for attending the training classes which can be used to renew their librarian certification. For further information contact Kathy Blick O’Donnell or Doris Dixon on the Staff Contact Form.

The Institute of Public Librarianship class schedule is comprised of 4 classes offered in locations across the state.  The topics covered will be: Public Library Administration, Collection Development, Services for Adults, and How to Think Like a Librarian.

The fourth in the series, How to Think Like a Librarian, is offered via live video broadcast.

ODL website announcement

We have lift off!

The New ODL website has launched. Check it out!

It has all new features such as the “Find Your Library” locator, resources for “Learning & Research,” a quick-view megamenu, calendar of events, as well as information on “Reading, Writing & Celebrations.” Search our catalog, find open access online resources for Oklahoma, discover “Tips & Funstuff for Reading,” find Almanac quick facts, and learn about the state archives. Also, test drive the new SoonerSearch to find information from over 200 state agencies, boards and commissions. Check it out!

Within the coming weeks, we will continue to work on different areas of the website and hope for your understanding in this matter. We welcome your feedback. Our current site at odl.state.ok.us will remain for the next few months after that it will redirect to our new URL.
